Pro Care Partners with EVR to Improve Fleet Maintenance & Performance
February 1, 2013
Pro Care has contracted with Emergency Vehicle Repair Service of LaGrange, GA, to develop a new holistic fleet maintenance program. "Last year, our vehicles did not perform at a level consistent with our expectations," said Kevin Wall, Pro Care's Chief Operating Officer. "On top of that, our maintenance expenses were over budget."
Mr. Wall eventually identified a lack of planned and consistent preventive maintenance as one of the main causes of the poor vehicle performance. Unreliable vehicles make it very difficult for Pro Care to deliver the the level of patient care and rapid response times central to its business model. Under Mr. Wall's direction, Pro Care sought a vendor who could work with the company to develop a complete vehicle maintenance and repair program. Pro Care ultimately selected Emergency Vehicle Repair (EVR) of LaGrange, GA.
EVR provides on-site preventive maintenance and repair service for Pro Care's entire fleet of vehicles, includingthe company's 17 ambulances. In the unlikely event an ambulance fails while in service, EVR will also provide mobile repair services. EVR was founded in 1988 and its employees have over 130 years of experience working on emergency vehicles. They have done warranty and service work for all major ambulance manufacturers and, in addition to being ASE certified, they are all certified ambulance builders and remounters.
"We're very excited about partnership with EVR. They have deep knowledge of the emergency vehicle space," says Mr. Wall. "We believe they'll be able to help us take much better care of the trucks we have and, maybe more importantly, help us identify the best truck manufacturers and truck configurations as we continue to grow."
